Business Dinner Club

Dinner

Our first birthday mini-market.

We all need friends in business especially in these challenging times. Our friends look out for us, help us to succeed and support us when things are tough. The Business Dinner Club enables you to make friends in business.

We meet every six to eight weeks. Visitors are always welcome. The Club works by having a mix of regular attenders and new faces each time. Most of the people who come are running small businesses or freelancing, some have been in business for years, others are just starting out. The mix of businesses is as wide as you could wish for. We have IT support, cake makers, web developers, complementary therapists, coaches, consultants, architects, systems developers, PR experts, copywriters, trainers, plumbers to name just a few. Unlike many other networking organisations we don’t restrict the number of visitors from any one profession; we’ve got personal experience of the advantages of working with our competitors.

Here’s what some of our previous guests have said:

“I thoroughly enjoy your events, and find them great for both networking and just inspiring me within my own business!  So this is something I will certainly seek to maintain as a regular event in my diary!” Leila Singh, Optimal Wellbeing.

“Tonight was a well organised and terrific event. I had a great time and met some interesting people. The food was excellent, far better than I had imagined and the place was really well presented.” Tushar Joshi, Turtle Networks

At the Business Dinner Club we actively encourage attendees to work out how they can work together, either on a project, on joint marketing or on buying supplies together to benefit from greater discounts. We hope that as the club builds we’ll be able to negotiate some worthwhile savings on relevant supplies and services.

We want to encourage the spirit of sharing. We believe that good relationships grow out of generosity so we hope that people will be prepared to share hints and tips with each other. Whilst this may not lead to immediate payback such generosity is usually returned with referrals and future business.

What happens at the Dinner Club?
Each evening starts at 6.30pm with some informal networking over a welcome drink.

Networking with a welcome drink

We then take our places at our tables for the first course. At the end of the first course we do a little organised table shuffling so that you get to meet as many people as possible. There’s a further shuffle for coffee. The booking form allows you to tell us what kind of business owner you would like to meet.
